Ordering food

How do I pay?

You pay the kitchen directly: Zelle, cash at pickup or delivery, or the kitchen's PayPal. Little India Kitchen never holds your money.

Do kitchens deliver?

Many do, to the cities they list, on set days and time slots. Others are pickup only. Each kitchen shows its delivery areas, fees and minimums.

How far ahead do I need to order?

Home cooks cook to order, so each kitchen has an order cut-off before each cooking day. You'll see it on the kitchen's page and at checkout.

What about allergies?

Each dish lists its allergens, and the label on your food does too. Home kitchens handle milk, nuts, wheat and more in the same kitchen, so ask the cook if you have a serious allergy.

Something went wrong with my order.

Message the kitchen from the link in your order email; they can fix it or refund you. If they don't help, use Report a kitchen and we'll step in.

Can I order for a party?

Yes. Use Get catering quotes to describe your event once, and kitchens near you send quotes. You compare and pick one.

Can I order for my office or family?

Yes. On any kitchen's menu, tap Start a group order and share the link. Everyone adds their own dishes with their name, you check out once and pay for everyone, and the kitchen gets a list of whose food is whose.

Do I need an account?

No. You can order as a guest. Signing in with your email (no password) shows all your orders at every kitchen and fills in your details next time.

Cooking with us

Do I need a license to sell food from home?

Texas lets you sell homemade food under the cottage food law. You'll need a food handler card, and you must register with Texas DSHS if you sell foods that need refrigeration (for example dal, sabzi or thali). Registering also lets your labels show a number instead of your home address. Meat, poultry and seafood aren't allowed under the cottage food law. To sell non-veg dishes you need a food establishment permit from your city or county; upload it in your admin and we'll unlock non-veg once we've checked it.

Who handles sales tax?

You do, as the seller. The checkout can add your sales tax rate, and your admin shows exactly how much taxable sales and tax you collected each month so you can file.

How do customers pay?

Directly to you: Zelle, cash at pickup or delivery, or your PayPal link. You mark orders paid in your admin. We never hold your money.

Who delivers the food?

You do, or your customers pick up. You choose your delivery areas, fees and time slots, and the route planner helps you deliver in one loop.

What does it cost?

Nothing for the first 3 months except $0.25 per completed order. After that, $5 a month plus $0.25 per completed order. No setup fee, no contract, cancel any time.

Is every kitchen checked?

Before a kitchen goes live we check its DSHS registration and food handler card and review its menu. Each kitchen is still an independent business responsible for its own food, labels and allergens.
